Patrick's Graduation Poem

Forever may love
Be enveloped in holy arms,
Committing actions to
Live instead of die,
To set free the
Oppressed thoughts,
Bound by chains
Of mundane conformity.

In freedom may two become
One and be free to separate,
Treasuring purpose,
Through bodies exchanged.
A combined human purpose,
For peace to be more,
Than a word, but instead a wind,
Which leaves none untouched.

And always may joy,
Travel to the world,
Braving unnecessary wars,
And building strength
So it may save those
Caught in the depression
Of duty without care
Of one’s own pleasure.

Forever may the paths be straight,
Without evil deterring love.

In freedom may we become part,
Of each other without false correction.

And always may joy find a way,
To stay focused in our hearts.
